Is design really important for Business ?

Yes, without a doubt design is must for a business, because ‘’ Good design is good business ‘’.

Throughout 2005, a group called The Development Council analyzed over the course of a decade 63 portfolios of companies that listed on the FTSE (Financial Times Stock Exchange). What they found was that the businesses that concentrated on design did much better than those that didn’t — they ultimately outperformed the FTSE 100 index by 200 per cent.

We mostly choose products and services based upon it’s beauty. Because it’s design and colors appeal people’s psychology and appeal them to take actions.

Strong web design = strong consumer trust

Experience is more important than product and design enhances quality of message. Thus, design is more important in marketing and usability of the product. Design enhances brand identity, look and feel because when we look at the world’s well known brand we can instantly recognize their logo, fonts, color schema and even their fonts.

It is in our nature, as human beings, to habituate our environments and become familiar with things that do not stand out. When people noticed every aspect of every little item, there would be an explosion of details. It’s important for designers to see your interface the way your target person sees it, so you can better determine what’s going to help it stand out, and stay away from designs that make it unattractive to them.

Design deserves more attention from business owners and managers than it often gets. It is often seen as a finishing touch in the development of the product or service-something to be used after the strategy has been formulated, key decisions have been made and budgets allocated.
